Just Bananas

Here is the testimony of Charles, one of my first acolytes from my mission to Nigeria.

" I had long been a skeptic when it comes to religion, and my life reflected that. I had no goals, no purpose. Just a desire to become wealthy."

"I met Pastor Bob when he passed through Warri. He took a shine to me, and I likewise to him. He didn't preach, but he spoke of parables and what they meant to our lives. It was then that I saw the light. I knew that in spite of my poverty that I would be wealthy one day due to the power of belief and prayer."

"My journey was physical and spiritual, taking me from Warri to Abuja, back to Warri, and now to Lagos. You see, I started out with nothing but bananas, but in this meaningless fruit, I found my fortune."

"I now live on Banana Island in Lagos, drive a Lexus LX600, and have the latest iPhone. The ashawos won't leave me alone. That's one of the downsides of wealth, I suppose."

"But if you should ever talk with Pastor Bob, your life will change immeasurably for the better."
